Meet The Doctor

Dr. Shannyn Little is a native of Belmont, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Textile Engineering from NC State and her dental training from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. She also completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at East Carolina University.

Dr. Little is a member of The American Dental Association (ADA), The American Dental Education Association (ADEA), The North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), The American Association for Women Dentists (AAWD), and The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She is currently working toward a fellowship with the AGD.

When asked what she enjoys most about her job, she states: “I enjoy the creativity it allows. Every patient is unique and every treatment is patient-specific. It is fun to figure out what is best for each particular person and to really get to know them and develop strong bonds (no pun intended) in the process! My patients become my family and I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to be a part of their lives!”

Dr. Little currently resides in Southern Pines, North Carolina within walking distance of the office with her husband, Jared, and their pet Pitbull/French Bulldog mix, Laylah. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, cooking/experimenting with recipes, playing sports, going to the beach, running, hiking, gardening, interior design, and spending time with her friends and family.
